Eames Bennett
R&D Scientist
Los Alamos National Laboratory
Eames received his Ph.D. in nuclear astrophysics and his M.S. in physics from Texas A&M University in 2020 and 2016, respectively. His graduate and postdoctoral research centered on nuclear astrophysics and nuclear structure. Currently, he puts those skills to use in solving national and global security problems.
As a strong proponent for science literacy, Eames frequently engages in outreach opportunities. He was a 2022 Citizen Science faculty member for the Citizen Science program at Bard College and is available for engagement as a science educator and lecturer.
In his spare time, Eames tries to spend as much time outdoors as possible. He can usually be found in the mountains of New Mexico and Colorado biking, backpacking, skiing, or hiking with his partner and their dogs, Bee and Junebug.
As a hobbyist photographer, Eames enjoys cataloging his adventures on camera whenever possible. He particularly enjoys shooting landscapes and portraits of friends. A small collection of some of his personal work can be found below.
